The brief was to develop this site with the maximum number of units and 100% parking to allow the client to retain the building and to let the units.
On the site of the pervious Mitsubishi garage workshop most of the excavation for the car park had been done and utilising the nature of the ground it was a simple dig into the site to generate the required car parking numbers and 55 apartments .
The site is in a conservation area and therefore the buildings scale and appearance was broken up with materials and set backs to reduce the impact of having a large building on the street scene.
